Listening to Your Body

A Signal for Change

I have had moments when my body spoke louder than my thoughts. Once, I hid under my desk because the environment felt suffocating. Another time, about a decade ago, I sat in my car in tears because my work outfit felt like a physical cage. The closed-up throat, the chest pains, the migraines, I have felt it all it seems.

Back then, I did not fully understand that my body was sending me messages. Signals that I was out of alignment. Signals that change was not just a good idea, it was necessary. I had to change almost everything to make room for who I truly am.

Your Body Speaks First

God, intuition, the Holy Spirit, your nervous system, they have ways of saying “listen to me.” Each of us has unique signals. It could be fatigue, tension, irritation, or something more physical. If harmony is possible, then the number of standard deviations outside of that harmony are signs for you to pay attention to.

Inputs Create Outputs

Where you are today is the sum of what you have been putting in: your time, your energy, your attention, your money. If you want to create change, you will likely need new inputs. The new inputs can crowd out the old ones. This is always evolving as life changes.

Start with Clarity

Before you change anything, see clearly where you are. Ask yourself: How am I allocating my time, energy, attention, and money? Is this in alignment with what matters most to me?

You can track this in a phone note, on paper and pen, or in a paper planner. Once you see clearly, one simple shift can change your entire trajectory.

When you honor your commitments and responsibilities while creating space for possibility, you insource your power. You start listening to the inner nudges. You create a life that supports who you truly are.

If you are ready to bring this level of clarity into your work and life, the Business x Wellbeing Toolkit gives you seasonal templates to reset, realign, and choose the right next step.
